Summer is winding down, but SB&F has lots to offer for the school year
Welcome to the SB&F Editor's Blog. I am Maria Sosa, Editor-in-Chief of SB&F. I saw a school bus on my way to work this morning, a reminder that summer is just about over. I am sure many of you are in the midst of getting your libraries and classrooms ready for students, if not already welcoming them through your doors. Be sure to check back often with SB&F Online throughout the year for interesting and valuable science book related activities for your students. We have some exciting things coming up! In fact, I’ve just posted 3 new SB&F Book Club Guides for middle grade students. These guides are great resources to help students explore the concepts in each book and get them talking them. Also, we’ll be announcing the SB&F Prize finalists in October and the winners will be announced in January. This list of books always represents the best of the best science books for children and young adults. All of the books should be required reading for your students. We are working a special list of resources for the science teachers and of course our annual Science Fair Resources feature will come out in October. Plus new issues each month, new book lessons from Science Netlinks, and much more. Summer may be just about over, but SB&F is heating up for a great school year!
